HOW DOES IT WORK?

The effectiveness of UVC ultraviolet rays as a means of sanitization has been known for more than a century and has been used in various applications such as drinking water, aquaculture, fish farming and in hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry.  After filtration, water then circulates through the UV sanitizer for complete disinfection the bacteria, viruses and algae are completely destroyed without causing any side effects or producing dangerous by  products. 

At 254 nanometers, the optimum wavelength for destroying micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, algae, yeasts, mould...), the UV-C rays penetrate to the heart of DNA and disturb the metabolism of cells until they are totally destroyed.  All germs are thus deactivated (including Legionella, Cryptosporidium and giardia) and cannot reproduce.

The reactors in the BIO-UV – DeltaUV ranges are dimensioned according to the pump flow rate, and it is the combination of the contact time in the reactor and the power of the lamp that ensures that the necessary UV  dose sufficient to kill 99.9% of the micro-organisms (bacteria, viruses, algae in suspension,…) is received.
